On the last business day before the VCAT hearing the Boroondara council has dropped its last ground for objection (traffic management) for the proposed development at 108 Power Street. Council however will seek to impose controls on the vehicle access to the site at the VCAT hearing.

108 POWER ST; ALL ALONE AT VCAT
Monday Sept 3 Lillian Lewis, Nick Mules and myself attended the hearing at VCAt. Unfortunately by the afternoon I was the only objector left, a rather intimidating experience! However Chairman Potts went out of his way to show me cosideration and he asked searching questions of the experts. He has deferred his response which will be posted to registered objectors.
I understand that Council withdrew its objection on traffic grounds because it could not find an engineer to support its objection. Very disappointing. We now await Mr Potts decision.
